Last night, Tuesday, January 25, 2005, while I was on the radio show Mysteries of the Mind with Alex Merklinger, Ann was outside watching a strange light on our southeastern horizon. The light appeared to be teasing Ann by popping up from behind a mountain, then disappearing behind the same mountain.
After I was finished with the interview, Ann told me to come outside and watch the light. Ann said, "the light was waiting for you to come see it." I asked why it would be waiting for me, but Ann just said it was.
Well, at 9:50pm MST, I stepped outside with camera on tripod and sure as can be, the light appeared and started moving in different patterns across our southeastern horizon. I guess it was waiting for me, just as Ann stated.
The first set of photos are the inset photos. The set following these are in series. In the ninth photo, the light suddenly shot to the right, then back to the left and disappeared.

Here are the photos in series

A friend turned the above series of photographs into an animation...

Ann and I were watching a movie, The Village by M. Night Shyamalan. I thought I heard Buddy barking; it was approximately 9:15pm MST. I stopped the movie to go check what Buddy was barking at. When I stepped out on the porch, Buddy was sleeping in the southeast corner of the porch. Buddy had not been barking.
While out on the porch, I looked to our eastern horizon and saw a light hovering there. Ann joined me on the porch and I pointed the light out to Ann. Ann's first words were, "Get the camera." I did. This was approximately 9:16-17pm.
I took a series of photographs of the light. Ann saw a helicopter approaching the light from the south and at a lower altitude than the light. I kept snapping photographs.
While watching and photographing the light, something came out of, or off of, the light and hit the helicopter. Within seconds the helicopter disappeared. Seconds later, the light disappeared.
We saw another light, very similar to the first light, a little further south of the original light. It just danced around in the sky, just off the horizon for a few seconds, then disappeared.
At about 12:50pm, this afternoon, Ann asked for a sign, as did I…

These are the photos of the second light just to the south.
